The Power of 40 Years: Indonesia’s Generation at HKGN 2025

In commemoration of the National Oral and Dental Health Day (HKGN) 2025, Formula, a trusted dental and oral care brand in Indonesia, together with the International College of Dentists (ICD), is organizing the “Formula Strong Generation of Indonesia Action” at Jayabaya University, Jakarta. This event is also supported by the Disability Foundation and the local government as part of Formula’s 40-year commitment to maintaining the oral health of Indonesian families across generations.

Data from Riskesdas 2023 shows that 72.5% of Indonesia’s population brush their teeth twice a day. However, 56.9% still suffer from oral health problems, and only 11.2% have ever received professional medical treatment. These facts highlight that education and access to dental health services remain significant challenges, which is why Formula consistently provides real solutions for Indonesian families.

For more than four decades, Formula has not only been a dental and oral health protection product but also a partner to Indonesian families in building confidence and improving quality of life. “For 40 years, Formula has been part of the journey of Indonesian families. We believe that the strength of a generation begins with a healthy family. Through ‘Formula Strong Generation of Indonesia Action,’ we want to encourage society to collectively build good oral hygiene habits as a small step toward a stronger future for the nation,” said Jenifer Fransisca, Managing Director of Formula.

This year, Formula also introduced Marselino Ferdinan, a talented young Indonesian football athlete, as its brand ambassador. Marselino was chosen because he embodies the spirit of perseverance, hard work, and dedication—values aligned with Formula’s mission. “I am proud to be part of the HKGN 2025 campaign with Formula. For me, maintaining oral health is crucial to staying fit on the field. I hope this event can inspire Indonesian children, including those with disabilities, to care more about dental hygiene and courageously pursue their dreams,” said Marselino Ferdinan.

The inaugural event at Jayabaya University was attended by over 1,000 participants, including children, adults, and friends with disabilities. Formula offered a variety of interactive and educational activities, such as group tooth brushing, dental health counseling and check-ups by professionals, health education through the “Eggsperiment” experiment, coloring contests, communal meals, and distribution of thousands of toothbrushes, toothpaste, and basic food packages to the surrounding community as part of social activities. Formula also invited drg. Zahrah Almira, a dentist and influencer, to provide direct education to participants.

As part of this inclusive campaign, Formula pays special attention to children with disabilities who often face greater challenges in maintaining oral hygiene. The role of their caregivers is vital to ensure early oral health care. To appreciate their dedication and care, Formula awarded medals to the caregivers present at the event as a token of gratitude for their contribution in supporting friends with disabilities to achieve better oral health.

“Oral health education must be conducted consistently across generations. Formula has proven its commitment as a native Indonesian brand that not only offers products but also takes real action for the community,” explained drg. Zahrah Almira.

Following the main event at Jayabaya University, Formula will continue its social campaign to 40 other locations across Indonesia, from Aceh to Papua, distributing thousands of free toothbrushes, toothpaste, and basic food packages to the community as a form of Formula’s care for the oral health of Indonesian families.

One highlight of the campaign is the interactive education called “Eggsperiment.” Using eggshells, which contain calcium similar to human teeth, Formula demonstrates the advantages of System Protective Layer (SPL) technology in protecting tooth enamel from acid attacks. The experiment’s results prove that eggshells protected by Formula are more resistant to erosion, providing tangible evidence of optimal protection for the dental health of Indonesian families.

“The Formula Strong Generation of Indonesia Action” marks a milestone in celebrating Formula’s 40 years of commitment and the beginning of a new journey. “Our commitment does not stop here. Formula will continue to innovate by offering dental and oral protection products relevant to the times, while accompanying Indonesian families in building a healthier, stronger, and more empowered generation,” concluded Jenifer Fransisca.
